Santacon is almost here!

We have  A LOT of santas this year!!! over 175 RSVPed on facebook plus a bunch of maybes and a bunch of NON facebook people


It's tough to keep that many Santas on track!!!  So we will be tweeting EACH stop as we arrive AND as we leave so please follow us on twitter @santaconftl  if you do not have twitter on your phone you can send a text saying "follow Santaconftl" to 40404 and you will receive a text message each time we tweet.  There is NO charge for this (unless of course you get charged for any texts messages you receive)

Specials for thirsty Santas!!!

Santa has secured drink specials at several bars on the route!:

Briny irish pub, Off the Hookah, Beirbrunen, Dirty Blonde's, Rock Bar, Big City Tavern, America's Backyard (and more in the works!)

 

Full details will be published soon but at all locations there will be NO cover for Santacon folks, some specials include $2 domestic beers, $4 wells, some locations are doing 2-4-1- specials and one awesome place is giving all Santacon attendees a free drink all together!! 


So get your Santa suits ready, practice your naughty carols, bring goodies to give to strangers and Santa will see you on December 18th!!

Route for 2010

*remember to dress up in order to take advantage of drink specials. They’re only available to those in SantaCon / holiday themed outfits so do it up!*

you can RSVP with us on face book here FREE Parking available at: SE 2nd Street & Financial Plaza.You can not miss the lot…. It’s between the Camden building and Tutor Time. If you look up The Camden Las Olas in Google maps, you will see it’s that big empty area on the corner.  Cheap parking also available in the Public Library Garage located on SE 2nd street between 1st & 2nd aves

MEETING POINT 1 (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED) Briney’s Irish pub between 5-7pm.

NEXT STOP Water Taxi at Riverfront 7:30pm (Only $7 and steps away from Briney.) 

All the beautiful Santas will TAKE OVER the water taxi and ride to the Bahia Mar on the beach and then walk over to Bierbrunnen (super cool bar w great beer just south of Las Olas). 

MEETING POINT 2: Meet at Bierbrunnen at 8:30—9:30pm for late comers who dont want to do the taxi ride…

Then we can play around the beach at the South end up to Beach Place and eventually…

Take the trolley around 11:30-12 (only .50) to Las Olas around the Mangos area (where we took over and sang on their stage in 2008), head west hitting places and spreading joy along the way

End up back in the riverfront/Himmarshee area for the grand finale at Poorhouse & America’s backyard (we have drink specials at AB!)

* FYI: There are actually two Santacon events on the same night with different routes, so don’t get confused. 

Expand the Love, South Florida Burning Man, lots of other awesome communities and ALL who want to join us will be on this route! The alternative route and group are linked to our facebook invites and on www.santacon.info ( we will hopefully rendezvous with them on the beach at some point)
